This dataset presents the load diagram of electrical grid substations, with hourly records and geographic location (district, municipality, and parish).
The information allows for the analysis and comparison of load between different substations.
The dataset is a strategic tool for energy project promoters, operators, and researchers, supporting the integration of renewable energy sources and large consumers into the grid.
The update frequency is monthly.
The fields that make up the dataset are:
- Substation Code— Substation identifier code
- Substation— Substation designation
- District— District name
- Municipality— Municipality name
- Parish— Parish name
- Date/time— Date and time of the record (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM)
- Energy— Energy (in kWh) recorded at the substation at the indicated time
This dataset contains the districts of Aveiro, Beja, Braga, Bragança, Castelo Branco, Coimbra and Évora .
Use Cases:
- Operational planning: comparing loads between substations to optimize energy distribution and avoid overloads.
- Renewable energy integration: supporting impact studies of the introduction of renewable energy production on grid capacity and stability.
- Large consumers and flexibility: providing data for analyzing the connection capacity of large loads (e.g., data centers, industries) and evaluating flexibility programs.
