This dataset presents the number of certified Self-Consumption Production Units (UPACs) connected to the E-REDES-operated grid and holding an active contract on the last day of the month under analysis.
The data are organized by geographical location (district, municipality, parish, and postal code), installed capacity range, total installed capacity, voltage level, and technology type.
UPACs are electricity generation installations intended for self-consumption. The energy produced may be consumed locally and, where applicable, surplus energy may be injected into the grid.
The dataset enables monitoring of the evolution and geographical distribution of self-consumption units connected to the grid, identifying installation and capacity concentration patterns, and supporting analyses related to renewable energy integration, energy communities, and electricity network planning.

- District — Name of the district where the generation installation is located.
- Municipality — Name of the municipality where the generation installation is located.
- Parish — Name of the parish where the generation installation is located.
- Installed Capacity Range — Installed capacity interval in which the UPAC is classified.
- Number of Installations — Number of certified UPACs connected to the grid and holding an active contract.
- Total Installed Capacity (kW) — Sum of the installed capacities of the UPACs, representing the maximum generation capacity of the installations.
- Voltage Level — Voltage level at the installation’s point of connection to the grid, such as Low Voltage or Medium Voltage.
- Technology Type — Generation technology used by the UPAC, such as solar photovoltaic.
