This dataset presents information about scheduled power outages on the electricity distribution network operated by E-REDES, organized by geographic location and time period.
The data allows identification of the locations, dates and time slots in which power supply interruptions are planned, associated with planned work on the electrical network.
Planned interventions for a safer and more reliable network. Scheduled power supply interruptions allow E-REDES to carry out, in a planned and safe manner, maintenance, modernization and reinforcement work on the electrical network. These interventions help improve service quality and reduce the risk of faults.
Interrupting for safety reasons or when there is no alternative. This procedure is only used when the intervention requires temporary interruption of supply for safety reasons or after all technical alternatives that would allow power supply to be maintained have been exhausted.
Interventions limited to small areas. Each intervention is confined to a delimited geographic area. In the list below, complete seven-digit postal codes are indicated, identifying small areas — often a street, a section of a street, or a small group of buildings. The indication of a parish or locality therefore does not mean that the entire area is affected.
A very reduced impact on the customer base. On average, these interventions affect around 2,000 of the 6.5 million customers served by E-REDES each week.
Advance information for affected customers. Potentially affected customers are informed in advance by text message and email, provided their contact details are available.
